February 12th, 2010 - Sunday Brunch
Hi everyone,
As you know, the Sunday February 21 brunch is being planned, and we need to know the approximate number of tickets that will be purchased in order to prepare the food. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the Thursday night technical meeting.
Please let me know by no later than Tuesday, February 16, the amount of tickets you would like to reserve for your clubs.
The brunch will include a brief closing ceremony at 10:45 am, including closing remarks, and some competition routines being projected on a big screen, a time to celebrate the weekends accomplishments.
You will also enjoy a copious brunch of eggs, sausage, cold cuts, salads, fruit trays, tea, coffee, and juices, in the warm and friendly atmosphere of the beautiful Sokol hall at 717 Manitoba Avenue.

Greetings to all “Northern Lights Cup” participating clubs,
The NLC, hosted by the Alegria and Sokol clubs, in collaboration with Rhythmic Gymnastics Manitoba is fast approaching. All the details of the event are now being finalized. We are looking forward to a very exciting competition and thank you all for your participation.
Scripts – Difficulty sheets are due Friday, February 12th. Please, submit one set of Difficulty sheets to Mrs. Irene Ross, 331 Linwood Street, R3J 2C8, Winnipeg, Manitoba by Friday February 12th, 2010. Late scripts must be submitted with sanction fee of $50.00 payable to RGM. Coaches, please have the athlete’s scripts at each level in alphabetical order.
Attached, you will find the schedule for the February 19-21 NLC. Please notice that we have opted for longer competition times on Friday and Saturday. This will free up Sunday for a well merited delicious brunch, from 11 am to 2 pm, in the relaxed atmosphere of the Sokol hall at 717 Manitoba Avenue. The brunch will be preceded by a short closing ceremony at 10:45 am, with doors opening at 10:00 am.
The Sunday brunch will replace the Saturday evening banquet. Tickets for the brunch are $10, and can be purchased at the latest during the Thursday evening technical meeting at the hosting hotel, Pembina Best Western. To reserve your tickets ahead of time, please email me, Cy, and I will set them aside for you. If you have purchased banquet tickets, they will be reimbursed or exchanged. For the clubs coming from outside Manitoba, please let us know if you will need a shuttle service from Best Western to the brunch venue and back.
Accreditation packages for all clubs can be picked up at Best Western, Salon A, from 6 to 7 pm on Thursday February 18.
A technical meeting will be held at Best Western, in Salon B, from 7 to 8 pm on Thursday February 18. All coaches, team managers, judges, VIPs, and organizing personnel are invited to attend this meeting for a briefing of the weekend. It will also give us a chance to mingle and get to know each other while enjoying a complimentary wine and cheese reception.
The “Northern Lights Cup” organizing committee has devoted countless hours to assure you a well run event, and we sincerely hope you all have an enjoyable and rewarding competition.
