Dear Rhythmic Gymnastics Friends,

You are cordially invited to take part in the “2011 Northern Lights Cup” the 5th invitational tournament in rhythmic gymnastics (previously known as Crocus Cup). The competition will take place at the University of Manitoba Investors Group Athletic Centre the site of the 1999 Pan-American Games.

This year, we are excited to run the 2011 Northern Lights Cup in tandem with the 2011 Elite Canada and Canadian Group Championships. The Northern Lights Cup competitors will have a rare opportunity to compete in the morning for the Cup and view the Canada’s best rhythmic gymnasts in the afternoon. The organizing committee is also excited to use this unique opportunity to treat the competitors of the Northern Lights Cup to a world premiere of Wonderland by the Royal Winnipeg Ballet. 

We are looking forward hosting all of you in Winnipeg, March 9-12, 201.

Dear friends of rhythmic gymnastics,

By now, your club would have received invitation to the 2011 Northern Lights Cup (March 9-12), being held in conjunction with the 2011 Elite Canada and Canadian Group Championships (March 10-13, 2011).
As Meet Director for these very exciting events, I am inviting you to be part of this ambitious undertaking asking for your support in generating interest among your family and friends in order to help make these Competitions a success. What a thrill it will be for Manitoba’s rhythmic gymnastics community to be able to watch Canada’s best gymnasts compete in our own Investors Group Athletic Centre along with our Northern Lights’ competitors. Your club’s volunteers will be integral to making this an event that we can all be proud of.
We will be relying on our Club’s “technical” experts such as scorer’s, announcers, minor officials, music and video technicians as well as other volunteers for more general duties involving security, marshalling, driving, hospitality, set-up and take-down crews, etc.

Eva Swan, member of the Local Organizing Committee responsible for Logistics has generously volunteered to coordinate the scheduling of volunteers. Given that the events span 4 days there will be numerous opportunities for volunteers to get involved. I turn to you for help creating a swell of excitement around the upcoming event and that you sign up with your friend or a family member as a volunteer.
