The Manitoba Gymnaestrada Team
The Manitoba Gymnaestrada Team is a non-competitive performance group that trains to participate in the Canadian and World Gymnaestradas. The team is comprised of gymnasts of all ages, abilities, and disciplines whose goal is to perform at both National and International levels. The performances themselves are a celebration of gymnastics intended to delight and captivate audiences.
Rhythmic Gymnastics Manitoba has a strong history of supporting gymnaestrada athletes to perform at the World Gymnaestrada. At the 2007 World Gymnaestrada in Dornbirn, Austria, the Manitoba Gymnaestrada Team was selected to represent Canada in the Americas section of the Closing Ceremonies.
The 2009-2011 Manitoba Gymnaestrada Team has recently been formed. In order to bring an identity to the team, the team has unveiled its new name: FUSION.
The name Fusion encompasses the format and driving force of the team - a fusion of gymnastic disciplines, gymnasts, and creative forces.
