Rhythmic Gymnastics Manitoba Inc. has been providing leadership and programs to rhythmic gymnastics community in Manitoba since our founding in 1969. The organization was incorporated in 1985.
It is our Mission to:
“Support, promote rhythmic gymnastic programs and create opportunities for the development of recreational and competitive rhythmic gymnasts in Manitoba.”
We believe the best way to achieve this goal is to;
· increase RGM's public notoriety,
· create vibrant athlete centered environment with sense of ownership and belongingness,
· bring a uniformity/unity between the Association and the individual clubs,
· provide standards for programs aimed at recreational, competitive and performing rhythmic gymnastics participants,
· provide quality programs for training and certification of rhythmic gymnastics coaches, judges, minor officials and music, scoring and video technicians,
· host local, provincial and national recreational, performing and competitive events, and
· build a dedicated, knowledgeable volunteer base,
Organization Founders/Management
Mrs. Zlatica Stauder introduced rhythmic gymnastics to Manitoba in 1969. She established the first organizing committee and trained the first coaches and judges in Manitoba. In 1980, she was hired by the Association to develop and deliver Provincial Team Program. Building on the successes of the Provincial Team Program, Mrs. Stauder was instrumental in establishment of the High Performance Training Center (HPTC) for rhythmic gymnastics in Manitoba (1985). She was the HPTC Head Coach from 1985-1991. In 1991 Mrs. Stauder was appointed to the position of RGM Technical Director and in 1996 was promoted to the position of the Executive Director.
Mrs. Heather Willoughby has served Rhythmic Gymnastics Manitoba as President since 1975.
Mrs. Lorraine Malette has served Rhythmic Gymnastics Manitoba as President since 1983.
Mrs. Donna Van Horne has served Rhythmic Gymnastics Manitoba as President since 1984.
Mrs. Bev Corbett has served Rhythmic Gymnastics Manitoba as President since 1986.
Mr. Sami Rizkala has served Rhythmic Gymnastics Manitoba as President since 1988.
Mrs. Helen Connor has served Rhythmic Gymnastics Manitoba as President since 1990.
Ms.Anne Pudavick has served Rhythmic Gymnastics Manitoba as President since 1991.
Mr. Tim Jichuk has served Rhythmic Gymnastics Manitoba as President since 1993.
Ms. Elaine Ashley has served Rhythmic Gymnastics Manitoba President since 1995.
Mr. David Smith has served Rhythmic Gymnastics Manitoba as President since 1996.
Mr. Nick Iafolla has served Rhythmic Gymnastics Manitoba as President since 1998.
Mr. Howard Nerman has served Rhythmic Gymnastics Manitoba as President since 1999.
Mr. Roger Lacroix has served Rhythmic Gymnastics Manitoba as President since 2001.
Mr. Barry McLeod has served Rhythmic Gymnastics Manitoba as President since 2003.
Mr. Paul Cech-Manek has served Rhythmic Gymnastics Manitoba as President from June to December 2005.
Mr. Raymond Chu is currently serving as Rhythmic Gymnastics Manitoba President since January 2006.
